Karen Kalisek's Top 20 Things To Help (11-15)
11. Save your cans. When you take them to a redemption center, hand the money earned to someone you see there that is obviously trying to make ends meet.
12. Invite those struggling over for dinner and a movie. They need to be around people who love them. Pack up all the left overs (make extra!) and tell them there is no room in your refrigerator.
13. If you could hire someone to help do laundry, pay bills, grocery shop, etc., offer to pay someone for their assistance. Assure them how much you value their time doing a service that could benefit you. Do not treat them as SERVANTS. Remember, they need respect and dignity.
14.If your child would love to have a particular toy, buy two. One for your child and one for his friend in need.
15. Pack up your unused or outgrown clothes and donate them to a local charity or to a family with children close in age to your own.
