Coupons For The Community

This isn’t a huge tip but just a little something I’ve been doing for the last few months. I save absolutely every coupon that comes my way. I then sort through ones that I will use and ones that are useless to me – baby supplies, products I don’t use, etc. When I’m shopping, I tuck those coupons under the relevant product as I pass them so the next person can use it and save something. It doesn’t make a huge difference but it can add up. My grocery store also has a tendency to give cashier coupons after I’ve paid for my groceries – eg. $7 off your next shopping trip of $70 or more. Since I don’t have kids, I rarely make big shopping trips so I pass it off to someone in line I see doing a big shop. They are always pleased to know they’ll be getting an extra $5 or $7 off their grocery bill. Like I said, just a little thing but it feels better than letting the coupons go to waste.

I love this idea – I was the recipient of such a coupon and it made such a difference. Now I try to remember to do the same thing – it is such a small thing but it feels really good.
