IBM – Transition To Teaching
IBM has been offering a Transition to Teaching program since 2006 – the program is aimed at current IBM employees who are passionate about teaching and would like to make a change.

IBM are focusing on Math and Science teachers for this program – this from their website:
“Building a cadre of well-trained math and science teachers with the experience and know-how can help develop the next generation of America’s technical leaders. IBM has long been a leader in school reform and other educational efforts and this latest effort is a national outgrowth of that work. Our most recent partnerships with school districts in the U.S. have focused on improving teacher effectiveness. Now we will also focus on expanding the pipeline of potential teachers as well.”
Are you aware of other programs run by businesses that may be applicable to not just employees? If so, let us know about it by using the submission form here.
