Train To Become An Automotive Repair Technician
Here is a program that Marcus Simmons is setting up in Southfield and maybe something that others can set up in their home towns.
We are currently constructing a school to train socially and economically deprived young adults in the skills to become an automotive repair technician. The mission of the school is to provide no-tuition automotive vocational training to this “at-risk” group. There are some students exiting the school system without an education. This happens because the schools inability to teach ALL of the students because of budget and staff shortages. Some of the students need special instruction and they don’t get it.When this program is implemented, the aggregate value of the community will improve because we will be moving people from the bottom of the social-economic ranking upward into middle class citizenship. This effort will pivot on the fact that a significant number of young adults have an interest in automobiles and we want to capitalize on that fact to improve their outlook on life.
